PhD Student Marcus Gottlieb receives Canada Graduate Scholarship & Equity Fellowship

Congratulations to PhD Student Marcus Gottlieb, who has been awarded the prestigious Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada! This award will provide Marcus with three years of funding that will support his time researching fathers’ experiences of parenting adolescents. Congratulations, Marcus! This award is well-deserved recognition of your research accomplishments to date and the importance of research on fathers.

Marcus has also been selected to hold the UBCO Clinical Psychology Equity Fellowship to work with Dr. Lesley Lutes to promote the evidence-based practices of clinical psychology in British Columbia. This will involve working with a multidisciplinary government team to increase the accessibility of psychotherapy services and to advocate for mental health initiatives. Their work will involve conducting research, informing policy recommendations, and implementing evidence-based practices in clinical settings. We can’t wait to see how this important work unfolds!
